SHOOTING ON THE MOVE—ENGAGING TARGETS DURING TACTICAL MOVEMENT
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
“A Place to Shoot”
33951 San Francisquito Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91390
Objective: To improve shooters’ ability to consistently hit threats while moving. Students will significantly increase their ability to accurately engage targets while they fight their way forward, to the rear, and obliquely. Moving off-line and continuous movement toward cover will greatly enhance your survivability in an armed encounter. Many of our courses include some movement while shooting but this class is specifically dedicated to developing this tactical skill.
Instructors: Active-duty/retired law enforcement officers/trainers with extensive teaching experience in civilian and L.E. communities. We guarantee low student/instructor ratios (four-to-one maximum) to enhance safety, quality of instruction and individual attention.
Topics Covered Include:
- Firearms safety rules—on and off the range
- Marksmanship, manipulation techniques and presentation from holster (review)
- Extensive shooting on the move practice—advancing, withdrawing & oblique movement
- Reloading while moving—combat & tactical magazine exchange
- Reloading/providing supporting fire for partner while moving
- Immediate action procedures while moving—failures to feed, fire, extract, and eject
